Mu Cang Chai Travel GuideI. Best time to visit-Mu Cang Chai Travel Guide

Mu Cang Chai is beautiful year-round. In spring, young rice shoots shimmer on the water’s surface; during the warm summer months, the terraced fields are lush and green across the hills. The most impressive times are during the water filling season (rice planting season) and the rice harvest season (autumn harvest). The water filling season, from late May to early June, turns the fields into “mirror-like” reflections of the sky and land.

From September to October, Mu Cang Chai turns golden, attracting photographers and tourists to admire the colorful highland scenery. In winter, the fields resemble a traditional landscape painting of mountains and forests. Late December is the time when wild peach blossoms bloom.
