I. VNU-International School

Established in 2002, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – International School (VNU-IS) is one of the first higher education institutions to offer international joint training programs.

All programs of VNU-IS are intensive and full-time, designed for students to reach their full potential so as to succeed in the real world. VNU-IS’s degree programs are designed according to the standards of prestigious foreign universities and are accredited and approved by Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). Joint-training programs are approved and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (MOET) and reputable accreditation agencies abroad.

II. Enrollment requirements (VNU-International School)

1. Meet ONE of the following criterias

• Graduate from high school with minimum high school GPA of 2.5/4.0
• Acquire International Baccalaureate Diploma of 24/45 with Math and English language score of at least 5/7 for each subject.
• Complete A-Level grade C, equivalent to 60/100 each subject. The combination of subjects required varies among programs.
• Acquire SAT score of 1100/1600
• Acquire ACT score of 22/36

2. Appropriate English proficiency certificate including a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or Level 4 of Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency (VSTEP)*

3.  Appropriate medical examination report for overseas study

4. Sufficient finance evidence for overseas study in Vietnam.

(*) Without a required English proficiency certificate, students who meet other qualifications and requirements must study intensive English Foundation program at VNU-IS.

III. Application documents (VNU-International School)

• Bank Statement or payslip to prove your ability to support your study in Vietnam. This must show you or your sponsor have at least enough tuition of 1 year in the bank account. If the account owner is not yourself, you must include a Letter of Commitment signed by your sponsor.

• Certificate 

All documents must be translated into Vietnamese or English and notarized. Each case shall be consulted with our admission advisor for better preparation.

IV. Scholarships (VNU-International School)

With the vision towards developing our students into competent leaders who are adaptive, innovative, and responsible for the community, our scholarship fund is designed to acknowledge outstanding individuals by recognizing and offering sufficient financial support during their study.

1. Vietnam Scholarship

• Valuation: 100% tuition fee 
• Eligibility: Foreign nationality 

Grade Point Average (GPA) in high school of minimum 3.5/4.0 

IELTS 7.0 or equivalent; or exempted from English certificates 

Completion of a portfolio/ CV to showcase your excellent academic, extracurricular and social activities achievements and the potential to contribute to the diverse international student community at VNU-International School 

Completion of VNU-IS scholarship form

2. Hanoi Scholarship

• Valuation: 50% tuition fee 
• Eligibility: Foreign nationality 

Grade Point Average (GPA) in high school of minimum 3.2/4.0

IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; or exempted from English certificates

• Selection criteria: Candidates will be assessed and selected by VNU-IS Scholarship Committee

(*) Only applied to programs with a degree awarded by Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Each student is given ONE scholarship only. To receive consideration for scholarships, applicants must complete the admission procedure.

3. International Student Scholarship

• Valuation: 50-100% tuition fee of the 1st semester or the 1st academic year 
• Eligibility: Foreign nationality 

Meet all entry requirements including Grade Point Average (GPA) in high school of minimum 2.5/4.0 and IELTS 5.5 or equivalent; or exempted from English certificates 

Completion of a portfolio/ CV to showcase your excellent academic, extracurricular and social activities achievements and the potential to contribute to the diverse international student community at VNU-International School
