1. Counseling Service(Student life in VNU-IS)

VNU-IS Counseling Services offers 1-1 counseling and guidance for students. Our goal is to best support students to overcome mental difficulties and gradually build-up their self-autonomy and resilience in coping with emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing issues. Each 1-1 counselling session can last from 45 to 60 minutes. All services are free of charge.

2. Student Activities(Student life in VNU-IS)

VNU-IS offers students a wide range of programs and activities that reflect the social, cultural, intellectual and recreational needs of students. Through participating in these activities, students can pursue their personal interests, make lifelong friendships, enjoy the excitement of a diverse university environment and learn valuable social and leadership skills which will positively impact their lives now and into the future.

Student activities at the International School, Vietnam National University (VNU-IS), are vibrant and diverse, designed to enhance both academic and social experiences. Activities range from academic clubs, like debate and business clubs, to cultural and sports events that celebrate the school’s multicultural community. International students can join language exchanges, cooking workshops, and cultural festivals to showcase their heritage. 

VNU-IS also hosts volunteer projects, leadership programs, and networking events, allowing students to develop valuable skills and connections. These activities foster an inclusive environment where students from around the world engage, learn, and grow together.

3. Vietnamese Class(Student life in VNU-IS)

VNU-IS will open a free Vietnamese class exclusively for international students if there are 20 or more international students enrolled. This class will equip you with basic Vietnamese listening, writing and speaking skills for your daily communication.

4. Career Support(Student life in VNU-IS)

With our industrial partners and alumni network, we are proud to bring in internship and job opportunities, office tours, skills development training and career guidance for students. Every year, we connect students to employers in multinational corporations in various sectors: Business, Finance, Hospitality, Information Technology, Marketing and Communications,.. through a series of events including the annual Job Fair, student contests, workshops and webinars. Students can also receive 1 on 1 consultation with our Career advisor to strategize their future career path. 

5. Accommodation Service

Accommodation Service offers support and guidance so that you can choose a suitable accommodation during your study at VNU-IS. You have various choices ranging from an apartment/flat, a student dormitory to a homestay placement.

• Homestay placement: You’ll be living with other people with shared facilities like kitchen or laundry equipment. 
• Student dormitory: There are some suitable dormitories located near the campus for your convenience: Me Tri Dormitory (182 Luong The Vinh Street, Thanh Xuan District); My Dinh Dormitory – Student Housing (Area My Dinh II – Ham Nghi Street, Nam Tu Liem District) 
• Apartment rental: VNU-IS have a list of recommended affordable accommodation and trustworthy agencies for you to contact for information relating to apartment rental procedure.

My impression of studying at the International School is that every effort and achievement is recognized and rewarded. This encourages me to excel and motivates me to maintain high academic standards. 

One of the essentials for a fulfilling university experience is building relationships with teachers and friends. As an international student, I initially found it challenging to connect due to language barriers and cultural nuances. However, I always received help from teachers and classmates, who are approachable and engage actively with students.

Additionally, the school organizes many extracurricular activities, student exchanges, and workshops for students to participate in. These programs provide me with more opportunities to build connections for myself.
